TO BE A CHURCH FOR THE UNCHURCHED.
Did you know there is a vital need in Las Vegas? Maybe you have felt it.
The Las Vegas valley has over 2.1 million people living here. It is expected to grow to 2.7 in the next seven years. The stats say 92% of the people are unchurched. That leaves 1.9 million people who are not consistently in an environment supporting them with the love and truth of Jesus.
John 1:14 tells us Jesus came to an unchurched generation “full of grace and truth.” East Valley is convinced you need both grace and truth!
We believe to be following Jesus’ example, we must be a church hung up on the priority of overflowing grace and truth to people who are unchurched.
If you are unchurched, we would love to have you visit us and get a taste of the grace and truth Jesus offers.
If you have a churched background, we would ask you to pray about joining our church’s vision to be intentional about sharing grace and truth with the vast majority of Las Vegas.
The purpose of East Valley Bible Church is not unique. It is for people of all backgrounds and beliefs to be TRANSFORMED INTO THE LIKENESS OF JESUS.
The Bible clearly teaches God’s desire for us is to be disciples. This process begins when we trust Jesus as our savior and continues throughout our lives.
We believe four biblical commitments are necessary for Transformation to take place:
Knowing God through meeting together each week to understand who God is and His plan for our life.
Maturing Together happens in small relational groups by encouraging one another through God’s word, prayer and fellowship.
Serving the church when you invest time, energy and resources into the church family.
Sharing Christ to the unchurched through grace and truth.
Each of these commitments require intentionality. If you are a Christian, we expect you will want to know Jesus and be interested in next steps.
We want to help and encourage you to intentionally start down this journey of being Transformed.
EAST VALLEY BELIEVES IN THE FOLLOWING PROVABLE, ESSENTIAL TRUTHS:
The Bible is God’s revelation and the supreme authority in our lives. It is practical, powerful, and perfect. The Bible shows us where we come from, our purpose, and where we are going. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12-13)
God the Father is eternal, powerful, and perfect, making no mistakes and doing no wrong. He is always just and He is always loving. God never changes. (Psalm 18:30, Isaiah 14:27, Malachi 3:6, 1 John 4:8)
Jesus is the chosen one to rescue, forgive and save people from the punishment of sin, hell. Jesus is eternal and perfect. Jesus is God. (Matthew 16:16, John 1:1-2)
Humanity by nature is not good. Our sin separates us from God. We need God to rescue us from the consequences of sin. (Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23)
The death and shed blood of Jesus happened to save us from hell, the punishment of our sin. (Acts 4:12, Romans 5:8)
The resurrection of Jesus from the dead shows Jesus’ complete power to give humanity salvation. (1 Corinthians 15:17-19)
You can have eternal life only through FAITH in Jesus’ death in your place. It is a FREE GIFT! (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9)
A Christian’s life, through obedience, is to be Transformed more and more into the likeness of Jesus. Through the working of the Holy Spirit, transformation happens through intentional discipleship relationships. (Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Corinthians 3:18)
